Fishing in a Permanent Camp.
(Opala, Pymta and Kikhchik Rivers)

Fishing period:

  1. King salmon: 1 June – 10 July,
  2. Silver salmon, Dog salmon, Rainbow trout, Sea Run Char: July – September.

Fishing in a Permanent CampFishing may be river bank or float (1 motor boat for a group). Accommodation in a permanent tent camp.
The camp is composed of four-bed tent cabins for two people. A big tent is used as a dining place. Three meals a day are provided. There is a WC. Electricity is produced by a generator. The guide has a satellite phone for ordinary and emergency communication.

Day 1. Meeting at the airport. Transfer to Petropavlovsk city. Hotel accommodation (DBL). Checking and preparation of fishing outfit.

Day 2. Helicopter transfer to the Opala River (Pymta or Kikhchik) depending on tour dates and fish run, (flight time – 1 hour). Beginning of fishing. Pitching basic tents (by the personnel). Overnight stop in tents.

Fishing in a Permanent CampDays 3-4-5-6. Angling from the riverbank and surface float angling on a motor boat.  Accommodation and meals in the permanent camp. One tent is for one or two people.

Day 7. End of fishing. Return to the holiday centre in a helicopter (flight time – 1 hour). Accommodation, rest, swimming in the thermal water pool.

Day 8. Tour around the city, including a visit to the fish market. Buying Kamchatka souvenirs. Transfer to the airport, seeing off.

Tour group: 8 – 10 people.

Tour cost: - 1700 euros for one person 

The tour cost includes:

  1. three meals a day throughout the tour
  2. a tour guide throughout the tour.
  3. cooking services throughout the tour.
  4. basic outfit (tents, a motor boat, etc.)
  5. transport (couch, helicopter).
  6. hotels and holiday centre accommodation.
  7. fees for fishing licences.

Recommended outfit:

  • fishing tackle,
  • a bag or backpack for personal things,
  • a sleeping bag,
  • waders or water boots,
  • footware for the camp (training shoes or boots),
  • hygienic items, swimming accessories,
  • a waterproof jacket with a hood,
  • a pullover……vest,
  • sunglasses, preferably polarizing ones
  • a cap,
  • a jack light,
  •  gloves,
  •  woolen sockets,
  •  personal first-aid set,
  •  mosquito repelling spray.
